His career path was likely to be teaching, and he started working as a teaching assistant as part of his degree, but his studies were not going the way he hoped and he dropped out.
The idea of being an entrepreneur and building a passive income had become very strong for him, and he gave his direct selling the bulk of his attention, and achieved the top position in his company after 16 years, becoming one of only three to do so. He prides himself in the fact he was a slow-burner and proved that the tortoise can win the race too.
Furthermore, the fact he began his journey with no business experience, no direct selling background, no money (he borrowed the joining fee from his dad!), no sales experience, no contacts and no real idea how he was going to succeed, adds further weight to his argument that anyone can achieve their goals if they are willing to make mistakes, be consistent, and not be thrown off-course by the opinions of others.
Wes still remains an active leader in his company, and it is worth noting he has only ever been with one company. He’s also become an author and his first book, 79 Network Marketing Tips, was a number one best-seller in it’s category on Amazon for over 60 consecutive months. His follow-up books The Prospecting Game, and Win The Room have also been best sellers. He’s also started a ‘Wes Linden Chats With’ audiobook series, and his first one was an in-depth interview with Randy Gage.
He has been the MC at the Mastermind Event now for five years, and last year was inducted into the Direct Selling Hall of Fame in America, the only European to have been included so far.
Outside of direct selling, he had a passion for soccer and became a referee where he reached the Championship level in England, and he’s a proud uncle to Noah and father to two rescue dogs Coby & Bree, who live with him in his home in London.
